Daniel Spicer - At Golden Ford
‘This book is an excavation of memories from the years I spent growing up in a picturesque but somehow arid town in the south of England, between the ages of five and 26. Towards the end of that time, I spent four years as a student in a bigger, more exciting city, but I would still return in the holidays to tramp the same streets and alleyways, and linger in the same rooms and buildings that give these poems their titles. I haven't been back in a long time, but I know that many different versions of me are still inhabiting those locations, fading ghosts stumbling around in lost time, bumping into each other and confusing each other>s stories. I have tried to let each of them speak for themselves.‘
